2 Distinct Honda Hybrids: Honda Civic Hybrid and Honda Accord Hybrid

There are two big names in the business when it comes to hybrids: Toyota and Honda. The Honda hybrid is a favorite for people who enjoy high-end sedans which offer hybrid technology. Honda hybrids are all basically the same as their non-hybrid counterparts except for the fact that they are more fuel-efficient and earth-friendly. Although there are many different Honda hybrids, the two most popular are the Honda Civic Hybrid and the Honda Accord Hybrid.

Honda Civic Hybrid

The Honda Civic Hybrid was the second of the Honda hybrids to be made. It was considered an improvement over the first Honda hybrid car because it was able to utilize more advanced green technology in its design. The Honda Civic Hybrid received additional advancements in design in 2006 when new technology again became available.

Honda Accord Hybrid

The Honda Accord Hybrid followed the Honda Civic Hybrid as the third of the Honda hybrids to be built. It utilizes the same advanced technology but incorporates it into the Accord style of Honda vehicle. The main difference with this car, and one that’s important to many drivers, is that the Honda Accord Hybrid has a more powerful engine than the non-hybrid version of the car.

The Other Honda Hybrids

These two Honda hybrids are the most popular because they fall into the center of the Honda hybrid spectrum. The newer Honda Clarity has gained attention because of its innovative hydrogen technology. The older Honda Insight is noted for its starring role as the first of the Honda hybrids. But the Honda Civic Hybrid and the Honda Accord Hybrid are the mainstream Honda hybrids that will be noticed by most buyers.
